THE SERVICES OF THE REFUGE

    Built on the site of an ancient hut, thee refuge of en Beys was opened in 1978 and expanded in 1988 then 2006.

Today, 4 dormitories (1 X 19. 2 X 18 & 1 X 15 places) allow 70 people to sleep comfortably. Each bed is provided with mattress and blankets.
The main duties of a refuge being to provide shelter and safety, one never refuses hospitality to anybody. Therefore, even after having booked one's bed by telephone, which is highly recommended, there is always a risk of overbooking.
The provision of most of the supplies is done by helicopter twice during the summer. Only the fresh or perishable products are carried over using manpower.

Meeting and exchanging with Sylvain and Julien, The enblazing of the granitic walls of the 'Pics Rouges' at sunset, or the observation of the izards playing in the snow at surise, constitute many simple and essential pleasures to share at the refuge of en Beys.

Shelter 

  The refuge has 70 places divided in 4 dormitories sub-divised in 7 sleeping zones.
Each space has its own mattress, blankets and pillow. It is recommended to bring one's own sleeping bag liner or sleeping bag not supplied by the refuge.
Hot shower have to be paid for on top of the cost of a night.

 

 

Restauration

    At any time, picnic basket, sandwiches, full meal, crepes, omelettes, drinks...

Hustle and Bustle

    During the main summer season, theme based event will be organised: tales and legend, astronomy, night treks, slide shows about the local fauna and flora, scenry from here and beyond..

The refuge is not equiped for card paiement. We accept only paiement by cheqques or cash.

    Outside the summer season, a 16 place dormitory remains open. 
    Bivouac is allowed in the reserve.
